Growing up, most of us had the pleasure of hearing these proverbs over and over again. We may have laughed at them or used them to make a point.
But they always stuck with us.
African and Caribbean proverbs are warnings that are meant to give advice. They are a rich heritage that has shaped our lives and continue to do so, that convey our culture and upbringing.
We want to share this heritage with our children and grandchildren in the diaspora. We also wanted to remind those of us here of the rich heritage of proverbs that we grew up with.
We believe that our unique cards are not only beautiful but also meaningful. They offer a glimpse into the wisdom of our roots and the rich culture we have inherited from our ancestors.
